A DIY project I would like to take on this fall is a large painted wood sign with a letter, verse, or cute little saying painted on the front. This would be the perfect backdrop for a blank wall above a sofa or on a fireplace mantel. I would love to be able to find some old, reclaimed wood that is weathered or has chipped paint on it (or perhaps I can learn how to paint wood so it looks aged).
